Chinese Black Batflowers

Chinese Black Batflowers or flower with the scientific name of Tacca chantrieri, is a type of flowering plant in the family Dioscoreaceae sweet.

This plant flowers that hang like bats sleep upside down.
Chinese Black Batflowers or Tacca chantrieri grows in east asia region, precisely in the tropical forests of Yunnan Province, China. In its original place they can grow to as high as 36 inches or about 0.91 meters. They can grow well in dry soils and soils that have high humidity levels.

 
Chantrieri Tacca is a unique species because these plants have flowers that are black. Even if you add a bit of your imagination, this plant flowers would look shaped like bats sleep upside down, it is no wonder that many people who call this plant a flower bats.

Plant size is quite large when compared to other flowers. Length can be up to 12 inches, and has a long "whiskers" that can grow up to 28 inches. In addition there are black and some other types of colors namely white and brown.
